I want to share with you all part of a letter I wrote to my brother Dallan this week -
A little background before I do...
I set up a Jar with M&Ms to help count down the days until My Brother Dallan gets home. Every Morning since my he left for his Mission Drake eats his "Uncle Dallan M&M" and looks at his Picture - We've now added changing bums, eating breakfast, then go into Drakes room, put the kids in their "Bumbo" Chairs and turn on Clifford for all 3 to watch to our morning routine.
"...Well this morning I heard Drake explaining to brothers "This is Uncle Dallan", I peaked in to see him showing your picture to his brothers. Such an amazing kid - he never ceases to amaze me. This hit me on a couple of levels. 1st, we've done that to him since the day you left so he has such a knowledge and love about & for you. 2nd, with that love and knowledge he wants to share it (you) with his brothers so that they can have what he has.... These are the same qualities you have right now as a missionary with our other brother, Jesus Christ. You have been taught about him since you were little. You know him and love him - yet you don't remember meeting him. Since you love him so much you want to share what you know and love with your fellow brothers & sisters so that they can learn to love and know him too. It was such a simple yet profound thing for him (and you) to do for the ones he (you) love!! *Kind of Neat*..."
